Yeah my dad looked into buying that exact car for a fun little toy but I talked him out of it cause

a) only the current owner can drive it here cause he is on a work Visa
b) cloth interior = t3h gh3y
c) diesel = t3h slow and loud
d) Pipe dream anyhow....even if it was fully loaded and faster than an enzo, you couldn't drive it here

Cool looking car though...

Is the Alfa Romeo diesel that slow and loud?
Frankly, I see diesels as the wave of the future.

Newer diesels are neither slow nor particularly loud. The VW is a great example of this. I've ridden in a VW Diesel, and the new ones are surprisingly quiet.

hah I'll have to post up some sound clips....we can compare the sound of the old 81' 5 cyl 300SD and the Jetta that I drive now :D what a difference...although I do miss the "klatta klatta" sound of the MBZ

why confused ? Germany and Canada are the same, steering on left hand side. UK will be in the other side.

If you looked carefully on the blue band on the plate, you'll see there's a "D" underneath the European Union stars. D=Deutschland=Germany. This car came from Frankfurt, as indicated by the leading F. Other examples are S for Stuttgart (Porsche & Mercedes hometown), M for Munich (BMW), WOB for Wolfsburg (VW headquarters), etc, etc. German plates with red bands (actually ORANGE) are temporary plates. For example, people who buy Mercedes or Porsches from here and arrange to pick up their car in Europe will have their car delivered with such plates so they can use it for the month or two in Europe before the car gets shipped home.

BTW, I have put photos of this car on this site a few months ago already. I thought foreign plates are valid for only 3 months here?!
