What processor is this? From the sounds of it, it looks to be an Athlon XP 1800+. If that's the case, the processor speed is 1.53 gHz, not 1.8 gHz.

na, it must be an althlon xp 2500+ (they retail for $130) and run at 1.8

Athlon XP 2500+'s have a FSB speed of 333 mHz and 512 kB on-chip L2 cache.

If it has a FSB of 266, runs at 1.8GHz and has 256K L2 cache, it's a 2200+. The 2500+ runs at 1.83 and has a FSB of 333 as D'z nutz mentioned. I don't mean to correct your post or anything, but when people see inconsistencies or model # omissions like this in a FS ad it usually makes them nervous/skeptical about what exactly it is you are selling.

Soupey: I find it hard to believe that you didn't search the model number of the board you purchased on the net for consumer reviews, and compare it with the product you were buying. You may have been mislead, but it is your responsibility to take all precautions before purchasing any product online. Please make another thread if you feel the need to sell your product.

i DID search the model number...he gave the wrong one to me...i was handed a box with the motherboard in a bag and i expected it to be the same as wut he had posted, i didn't pop open the box and look at the mobo and pop the heatsink off the cpu and check the cpu's speed on the side of the road...that'd b silly and i wudn't have the tools on hand...check the first post, he wrote that he had some other mobo wit onboard video and an agp 8x port....NOT A K7S5A.....its his responsibity to kno what he's selling and not be a bastard after sellin smthn totally different...i mean u can't possibly expect anyone to know precisely wut a motherboard and cpu is based on a pic wit the motherboard like that and the cpu already installed under a heatsink...the whole thing wasn't fair to me, and at most forcefed should have been a little more than willing to accept being wrong for puttn wrong info up....he won't even do that, he keeps saying memory express is god and told him wut he wrote....whatever now, its traded, its just the negative trader rating i don't feel i deserve.
