JEEZUS! Car was destroyed!! Can't get much luckier than that... for sure!

Sorta reminds me of that LeMans crash waaaay back, I think it was a Benz that did like 3 endo's over the fence and landed on its wheels like a meter or 2 away from a tree.

It didn't work, but can you tell me if it's that wreck where the guy had a stuck throttle on Bristol and his car shredded in half?

BTW the cars aren't supposed to shred. That releases debris onto the track, which can harm even more drivers. NASCAR is actually one of the safer motorsports there is, anyway.

lucky SOB
That car did not seem too safe. The roll cage did not protect him very well.

You guys should learn a little about what you are talking about first before posting. If you watched the video right and knew anything about the accident you would know that where he hit the wall was where the exiting gate was for that track (where all vehicles enter and exit the track) the gate was not latched closed properly, so when he hit the wall (which would have been just a light brush with the wall resulting in mild cosmetic damage) the car pushed the gate open and the car went straight into the side of where the gate is latched to, which sheared the car in half. so obviosuly when a car hits something like that at over 100mph its gonna shear appart regardless of how strong and well made the car is.
