WTB: Cheap running beater

Well, I asked about a scooter for my friend, but that would cost more than his last car did...
So yeah, if anyone's got a piece of crap car that still runs decent and has all the parts there then let me know...he's very limited to cash, i mean like maybe $500 tops...he paid $300 for his chevette and that lasted him a year and a half with only a few minor repairs here and there...
