Secret Street June 11th.

Looks like it might shower a little bit tonight. Anyone have any insight as to what the turnout might be like. Is anyone going? I will be there as a spectator, if I think it will have a descent turnout.

I just assumed it was cancelled because 2 weeks ago it just 'looked' bad and they cancelled it.

it sucked. The track was wet and I was braking traction in every gear. Plus it stopped a few times.

I made it half way round the autocross track and the Focus died !! The Starter/Ignition fuse blew ! :banghead:
A friend drove me to the various truck stops around that area , but none had a large 30 amp fuse. I ended up pulling the 30 amp fuse out of the rad fan and drove home . Suprisingly , the engine temp stayed exactly where it normally sits..
I know why the fuse blew. One of the wires on my home made traction kill switch shorted out on a metal plate behind the dash.. :rolleyes:

$40 plus the $10 I gave to my friend for using his car for a 1/2 lap on the oval.. brilliant !! :banghead:

It was awesome for us in the morning , rained a bit , but after was perfect. but that was at 8:30 till about 5 in the after noon..

I didn't mind it... having fewer cars there meant I still got lots of runs in. The traction was a shitty as usual. On the strip after a few cars went it wasn't that bad. I beat my personal best time again. Old best time was 14.7 and new one is 14.6. One tenth at a time :P

my guess would be he was driving the blue turbo prelude that kept on blowing the charge pipe off...just a guess based on his time though...what was it...14.6 at 101 or somethin like that right?
