Well the time has come for me to buy another DVD player. Im looking to see what people have used and would suggest.

New one needs to play DVD, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, CD, CD-R/RW, MP3, ...the works..

Also if anyone works at a electronics shop locally and would be willing to hook me up, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Well, can't get ya a deal, but I can tell you that I'm really happy with my $700 Panasonic 5 disc unit. Great little guy, Haven't had a problem with it, and plays all the above no problem. I think the name of the store I got it from is called Sound Surround. Something like that.

This is THE hottest player right now. Plays evething under the sun including DIVX 5 avi's you download from the net and put on DVD-ROMs.

Last I heard it on sale @ Wal-Mart is US for around $80US. Don't know whne it'll hit Wal-Mart in Canada.

Get an apex. They are dirt cheap and play absolutely everything, and then some. They get as low as $30-$70.

if youre considering a particular model, go to vcdhelp.com and they have a database of every dvd player and all the formats it plays and what it supports. pretty handy.
