How fast is a cl55 amg or a sl55 amg?

I was following one today in my town in the Cobra. I figure they are fast because of the amg, but I am not sure quite how fast. I also can't remember if it was a SL or a CL. It was a silver 2 door. It was pretty slick and looked pretty small and low.
Are these things killer?

CL55 I believe does 0-60 in 4.5 - 4.6 secs. Those things will pretty much destroy.

Depends on what year it is.

0-60 in 4.6 is Mercedes figures I believe, I've heard of 4.3's.

1/4 mile in low 12's, even the s55 will take a modena in the quarter mile.

i was watching motoring 2004 and i dont rember what model it was but they competed it with the M5 and they where saying this thing is carzy fast.......5.5l 390hp i think and 0-60 in 5.4 and was selling for 70 000 anyone watch the show?

old E55? It had less than 390hp though... 5.4 isn't very fast though... I believe the clk500, plain old 5 liter NA has a 0-60 of between 5.2 and 5.4

If you meant 4.4 it might have been the RS6, but 390hp doesn't sound right.

The SL600 (non AMG V12) tested 0-60 in 3.8sec (MB rated it at 4.5)! The SL65 should be faster... the 4.1s rating is a manufacturers rating.

As for the SL55 and CL55, they're fairly quick, but they ARE heavy. 4200lbs of car. They run probably high 12's low 13's in Calgary. They're quick, but not THAT quick.

If you said the car is small .. and slick .. I think .. should be SL55 .. rather then CL55 .. hardly see CL55, but SL55 is "kind" of common nowaday ... I always see 2 black SL55 ( one with 19", spoiler ") and 2 Silver one around crowfoot center .. see them .. probaby 2 to 3 times a week !

I love the Black one most ! and yes, they are damn fast ..and easy to drive fast too !

I read different result for SL600 (or CL600) test drive, from 3.8 second to 4.4 second for doing 0-60mph !

ANyway .. again no matter 3.8 or 4.4 .. it is damn fast ! faster then a 360 Spider !
