The muffler will give you a little bit of sound but you wont really seen any beneficial horsepower gains because youre still using the factory piping. If you want to see a little bit of HP and help your engine breath easier then have your piping replaced with at max. 2 1/4 inches in diameter. Also check ebay for mufflers, you can get them super cheap there. 179USD is a ripoff for a generic muffler like that.

dont bother with buying a muffler and getting custom piping done (thats what ive done). in the end, ull spend nearly as much as it costs for a nice catback.

i want it to sound loud but not so loud that you want to cover your ears. i want it to sound close to how the 04' infinite g35 coupe sounds.....a beautiful loud humm....but lets be real i have a 95' corolla, i just want it to sound smooth.

The second muffler that you posted is made by a failry high end company known as apexi. That is there turbo N1 which means that it is for turbo cars only. If you notice the inlet diameter(the spot where the piping meets the muffler) it is 80mm...much much too big for a normally aspirated corolla engine. What you need is a muffler with an inlet diameter anywher between 2-2 1/4 inches. (not sure what that converts into mm). Apexi does make a non turbo version of that muffler but they are pricey and might be more than what you really need anyways. There are cheap knockoffs of many styles such as the N1 which will do you just fine
