had a little accident early leaving the front right light damaged.. so we got new one.. and we got into another accident.. so we said might as well replace the left one too so it looks better ( before you can REALLY tell one is new and one is old..and it looks weird)..
this is on the dodge stratus btw..
our quote said it cost 350 for the light alone + labour? is that about right? or is it actually cheaper or cheaper after market?? is it easy to do it ourselves and save the labour?

Aftermarket is cheaper. You could probably get it for $200 from deans autobody shop.

It can't get any easier than installing a headlight, so do it yourself.

Sometimes the older ones just need a polishing to get rid of the cloudy "fog"

I read a site on another forum where you do it yourself...

Start with some fine sandpaper and work your way up to using polishing liquid or something. I will try to dig it up.

Thanks SZW

Is this the exterior of the head lights that he did, or do you have to take the headlight apart and do it from the inside?

From what I can tell, he did the exterior. i do'nt think there are any problems with opening them up and doing the insides, just make sure you seal them up real well.
