wrong subs for SPL

A JL 250/1 is a nice amp, although you could use almost any amplifier around 250watts

and i would just put 200watts into each sub with the Profile AP1200..? or would it be better to get a 4 channel amp and bridge like the Profile AP1040

If you haven't bought the amp yet, give us your budget. I guarantee that we can find a better amp for the money.

i have a buddy with an alpine mrd-m300 that was used to power the exact same subs and sounded amazing.
PM me if you are interested and we can work out a deal

For 300 you could get a lot....

that would be one of the best buys around.

it's almost 4 watts per dollar!

if you don't need that much power.

Do you have your subs already?

A two channel is not better than a 4 channel, there's not difference besides the different wiring options. Although some 4 channels are not able to run 1 ohm.

Just get an amp that has enough power for your subs. You can use a mono block, 2 channel, 4 channel or any combination of them to power your subs.
