Scroll down to see a picture.

This is a parts bike, or its a complete package for anyone that wants to try and fix it.

It had a 4th gear 'whine', then one day the tranny just packed it in....it felt like the chain snapped.

I've done a little investigation: The bike still turns over, I have compression, the cam chain moves while turning over. My best guess is that the gears piled up, something snapped, and if anyone wants to look inside, they will find a big mess. But you never know, maybe $80 in parts will get it running again.

It's probably best for someone that needs some spare parts, and would like to have fun ripping the bike apart.this is not a pretty bike to veiw, but if it was cleaned up, it would have a neat and classic look to it.

Any offers?

Hey, if there is anyone out there with a 250 Rebel:

Why don't you buy this one for the tank and fenders, give them a flashy paint job every year.( And, keep your originals for when you want to sell, or when you decide to go back to a more conservative look.)

Hmmmm....Better yet, why don't you sell me your bike, and I'll do that. LOL

The engine and gear box are a one peice unit. You would have to split the case and replace the inner parts
