i personaly like kicker for a few reason.. one the r very very long lastin as long as u don't abuse the hell outta them, my brother has some kicker contender series that r like 13 years old.. and the still pound like a mother fucker.. second i like kicker because the l7 (that square ones, i hope i got the model right.. but ya the 15" subs if i am correct do not need a large enclosure, i believe for a sealed box is only in the area of 1 1/2 cubic feet, now for a 15"that rad cause my alpine type-s' recommend have that same .. and they will pound pretty good i think.. or maybe look into the new alpine type- x's,, they r new, i haven't even looked into them myself yet, but word has they r goin to be killer

If you are looking for something that will just pound like mad there are a bunch of brands out there to look at. Almost all are not mainstream. XXX and Memphis each make a sub that major hard hitting. Also some of the big audiobahn, Rockford Power HX2 and JL W7 would be mainstream options. There are plenty of subs out there. Go check out the forum at caraudio.com for some more options.

if u want some pounding subs that sound great look 4 a set of ground zeros they are my favs only is u wont find them new because they went out of buss. a few years ago (because they were expensive and no1 ever heard of them) but if u heard a set with (enough juice) u will agree the rock i have a set of 12s and i power 1 with a power 1000.2 bridged and its like wow 2 my buddys

looking for a older fosgate power 1000.2 (2 match the 1 i have) i think its the 2001 model the model b4 the round sides

a cheap one that hit's good is a Phase 1 12' Rockford with a cheap amp like 450 watts to match the woofer. the Phase 3 is good too if you have the right amp. But remember to make the box according to the music u listen to Sealed for Rock music and Ported for Rap for the best sound.

Image dynamics. look crappy sound good. more sq than spl,
but require smaller box, the 10 can go in as small as .3 cubes. kinda pricey, the maxes are more for spl, idq for sq.
