Don't forget the googler's who sign on once to bash a 5 year old thread, then there's also the high schoolers who will cause shit and drama, post 150 times in one thread then dissapear forever and as you mentioned the show crowd dumbasses who sign on to view pics of the events pm and annoy the hell out of Ben for pics but never post, get their fill of pics and dissapear as well.

yeah, we should remove all members who havent signed in after a 1 year period.

You would be surprised how many people lurk tho.

I never said t get rid of lurkers. I said get rid of acct's that havent been accessed (logged into) in 12 months. Post count doesn't matter so much as Log in activity.

A_3
06-28-2004, 01:40 PM
Of that 15000 a good percent has to be people that signed up just to sell there car in buy/sell or frequent buy/sell looking to buy cars... i see people in there that never come over to the actual forums:dunno:

Gonthro

i agree with bens suggestion, purge all members that havn't logged on in the past year... that'll give you an accurate number of active members.

how you explain it is slightly confusing,

do a mouseover on your profile button and look at the bottom status bar on your browest and at the end of the link there is a number (up to 5 digits) thats your member number.

Revscene has roughly double the members of beyond :) They are in an entirely different realm haha. Very active board both automotive as well as non-automotive content.

Alright, it took me a while to figure out as well... but what they mean is... drag your cursor over your profile button, then look down at the bottem of your internet browser and it should say "userid=" the number after the = is your sign up #... you are 323... i enclosed a picture to help anyone else who is having trouble figuring it out! Hope it helps :dunno:

Not a bad idea. Maybe then we despised "nOObs" would have the right to a little consideration if we passed some sort of test.

What would the test consist of? Automotive knowledge? Some behavioural questions?

Math?

Current Events??

Puzzles???

Then this newbie ritual of "trial by abuse" might end.
