Alarm Systems

i just got a new car this week and i want to get an alarm system ASAP
i was thinking of the Compustar 2WSS-AS but i heard that bypassing the clutch and immobilizer for the starter only hurts it in the long run
any truth in that?
and can anyone could fill me in to as where i can get this or any other better alarm for a good price including installation?

Apparently the 2WSS isn't very good for Canada. This has been covered before in another thread. The 2WFM is cheaper and has better range in Canada.

Go to Auto Dream, they're preety good. I got my there and ask for the head installer Ngyuen, his pretty good and you can negotiate with him.

How do the 2-way alarm systems work? I know it pages ya when something goes wrong, but does it do anything to PREVENT them from breaking into your car int he first place?
