My situation:
I want to buy some parts from a private seller in Louisiana. The problem is that I don't want to send the money until I get the stuff, and he probably doesn't want to send it until he gets the money.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Is there anything I can use, such as a 3rd party or internet establishment, to help me out?

Best POA would be to go the PayPal route...


you can pay escrow (uses an intermittant source), but they charge you quite a bit...

See if he's willing to go through an escrow service. Ebay offers one, if that is where you are buying from.

Can you please explain how Paypal works? I wandered around their website, but it seemed pretty useless. The "About Us" section was a waste of time...

It's hard for me to trust someone I've known for 2 days with my money...
