Just wondering if there is any info out on the MY05 Subaru WRX (not STi)... will there be any difference between MY05 and MY04 in terms of features?

The WRX will probably get the new interior that all the imprezas have this year. It is darker and cleaner than last years. Mechanically, I think that it is the same.

Isn't the 05 STi supposed to have some nice upgrades from the 04 model?

Centaur said that they haven't ordered any 2005 WRXs as the price point is too close to the legacy... and the legacy has more powa!

centaur bullshits.. hahaah they are gettin them this month.. there is no way subaru would let them cancel the impreza line becuase it sells more than the legacys. plus the new 2005 impreza rs sport is in so that must mean they are gettin the rex's in. but thats my opinion on the subject. i dont beleive a word those guys say.

Centaur :barf:

I still see a huge distinction in the potential Impreza buyer vs. the Legacy buyer -- different market.

yeah, I find that most things that Centaur says is starting to sound like bullshit...

I think I might get my major service done in Edmonton...

Agreed.

Our other local option, Charles English is who I use for maintenance/warranty issues but to be honest I am not a huge fan of them either.

This is where I will be going if I need anything major done: http://www.rallysubaru.ca/

ok, what is the MSRP on the 2005 Legacy 2.5 GT? Is this the one with the 250hp Turbo engine?

what I am most interested to know about the 2005 WRX is will the steering wheel be replaced by a smaller one (as in the new Legacy and the 9-2x)? IMO, the existing steering is nice but a tad too big for me.

Automatic climate control would be nice... I doubt it, but you'll never know.

If the MY2005 WRX is not that much difference, then getting a MY2004 wouldn't be a bad idea.

I am surprised that there isn't much official info on it yet.

The MSRP for the 250 horsepower Legacy 2.5 GT Sedan with 5-speed manual transmission is $36,495.

That's only $1K more than WRX. So I don't see who except fan boys would continue to buy WRX.

WRX was never my cup of tea. Offers too little for the price it asked for. New Legacy offers price/content just right. May be the biggest change to 05 WRX is the price, Subaru may drop it down to $32K. Make more sense at that price range.

On the US Subaru website, the 2005 WRX does get:
- 3 spoke MOMO steering wheel (as in the 9-2x, and Legacy)
- Automatic Climate Control
- 10 spoke alloy wheels
- a 'redesigned' interior

thanks for repeating me.. hahaah

mspr on the legacy gt is 36495 without any fees or f&pdi. with all that shit it comes out to 38064 and the limited is 41864. this is the pricing for the MANUAL SEDAN. wagons will cost 1g more than sedans.

the wrx and the legacy are for two different buyers altogther. some ppl say the rex is more sportier or boylike. which attracts buyers of younger ages and hardcore wrc fans. while the legacy is a class up with refinemnets like leather and more inertior room. although neither car is more "sportier" than the other.

the rex is smaller than the legacy which some ppl migth prefer. it could also be personal preference. the wide body of a rex or the sleek sheet metal design of the new legacy.
