Webcam Trouble

So the dealio is I have that messenger webcam, with windows 98. Well for the past few weeks I've been able to do evrything with the cam, except for take pictures.When i want to go to the program that lets me take pictures an error pops up saying that
"IMGSTUD caused a stack fault in module COMCTL32.DLL"...how the hell do i fix this?...oh..i already tryed uninstalling, and then re0installing...didnt work tho..well thanx

For mine i have to Go into My Comptuer --> Device With removable storage --> Then click the webcam... Then i need 2 take pictures then, but i have windows XP.. I get an error like that if im not in there aswell..
