Simple question, I need to know if a 95/96 Chevy Cavalier, all stock, would have some sort of security system that would have to be reset by taking the battery cabels off. :poosie: :guns:

They 'could' have that cheesy gm passlock thing... it would have been an option on the base model, I believe.

What you may have to look out for, is removing the battery may lock the head unit. And if that happens you have to get a code from the dealer to unlock it. But it's never happened to me in my 2001 Z24.

passlock II is gay... easiest system to by pass (he he he.. trade secret.. ok not really).. but the sterio may have a theft system in it (need a 4 digit code to turn it on)... but even that does not always work right
