The new 107.3 & The new 98.5

the new Vibe 98.5 Calgary, and Q107 are two new radio stations in Calgary. Vibe is still defines as "urban" but we all know it's top 40/CHR now. And q107 replaced the peak 107.3 which was a hot a/c station. Anyway so what does everybody think of our new stations. I'll tell you waht the ratings say:

The peak ended with a rating of 6.0, and now the Q has 3.6 (down)

Vibe had 5.3 and now has 5.2 (the change wasnt that big at the time the ratings were collected )

My personal opinion is that vibe is good and bad, good because calgary has been without a true top 40 station since power 107, it also provides a station for all the former peak listners. Bad vecause we dont have a true urban station.

Q 107 was bad because now calgary is flooded with classic rock, cjay, jack anf the q, i mean 3 classic, 1 top 40 (seems a little unbablanced 0

yes i do think we need a urban station, and the new Vibe IMO is pretty good (good as in the only radio station i listen to for music other than sports, news, and chinese)

ok we have way too much classic rock. And ok, why didnt they just create a new classic rock station instead of buggering everything up with changing formats. O well that crap station will be gone soon. Anyway that poll isn't gonna be acurate because so many of the peeps who use this site and beefy macho men who would NEVER admit to liking anything other than classic rock. Because that would be "gay" - LOL (grow up )
