Looking for the best rule of thumb when selling a car.. I'm looking to get rid of my car (2001 'lude) soon and probably going to sell it privately so i can hopefully make a couple more bucks..

If someone comes to test drive, do you think i should ride along or let them take it on their own? (this is all after of course taking their driver's license info)

any suggestions appreciated..

You would be surprised of the amount of damage one test drive can do.

Yeah, agree but, for me, I say it depends on the person...if they're in they're mid 30's - and above..I say let them take it on their own...but if its 25 and under...go with them..cuz u know how we are at that age lol..

They guy who bought my truck I let go alone as he was with his

When I bought my car, I was with my buddy and my dad.. the dude was pretty trusting, but I doubt i'd let some punk kid drive in my car alone. It would depend on the person.

well, depends on suituation. like where he went a spin or what kinda weather is that? no matter u got his key, his driving license, if he crash it, he don't buy it, u cry, b'coz u've to eat all that shit.....so just beware.

for insurance side, they won't care u lend it to someone to let someone take the car like test drive never come back....

good luck guys.......

Take a look at your insurance coverage. When I sold my car I would not let anyone under 25 test drive it, as they would not be covered under my insurance.

I did sell it to someone under 25 also....took him for a ride in the car the first time, then his father came back with him and test drove it.
