Redlyne and Heep @ the Toronto Molson Indy

Hey guys, Heep and myself attended the Molson Indy this weekend here in TO. It was great to watch all the racing: my personal favourites were the formula renault and the Toyota Atlantic series. Paul Tracy, the dirty loser that he is, was confident that he'd win but only managed a 7th place. Canadian underdog Carpentier did however manage to make it onto the podium with a 3rd place. BTW sorry about the pic quality, the cars are going fast as hell and the cam I was using was 200 years old.

Check the posted speed limit on that section of road. Once they get up to speed they end up doing 6-8X that

My buddy Mark racing formula renault. He started in pole position and had a quite a lead for most of the race

Unfortunately the second place car braked late for dodge corner hitting Mark in the rear and putting him into the wall. Watch for him at the Vancouver Indy! He'll be back

I still think Tracy was robbed with 5th and Tagliani at 7... But I'm in the minority.

hehe F1 was no surpise though. They need to bring back Villeneuve for some controversy :) Cart seems more exciting this year than F1.

I actually root for all three. Tagliani, Carpentia and Tracy. But I see Tracy as the faster Driver of the three.

Not only that but they are on the same team. Maybe it's stagged for some mental game for the rest of the teams (There has to be a reason why there are no team orders to "keep" it in the family)....He does earn the name for being the "bad boy" for CART.

I don't see that part as being dirty. He just took the more aggressive line... not thoughtful of the other driver but hey, they get the $$ for winning not coming in second. I don't see it as being dirty. He does push the envelope on being too aggressive.

I don't really watch F1 or Cart race that closely. It's only Qualifying that I watch intensly. That where you really see the driver shine.
