FS:86 Mazda 626 turbo

Valve noise turned out to be some missing exhaust studs.

What I have done to it:

Plugs and wires
Replaced 4 exhaust studs and 5 bolts
New battery cables
Rewired the ignition wiring
Rewired the alternator
Installed boost gauge from a 88 daytona

She started in pretty rough shape. Wouldn't start without a boost and was really loud. Now it starts everytime and it's alot quieter.

Digital dash (actually works)
5 spd
Stock boost of 6 Psi
Green
good back tires, may need new fronts

Forgot to add:

-Changed The valve cover and gasket
-In the process of changing the turbo to throttle body pipe, the stock one is very restrictive.
-All stock parts come with car.
-Also have some spare plug wires and plugs
-Oil and filter changed 200km ago.

yeah, she has some rough spots like a missing deck and It could use a new muffler. If you want a turbo car that is semi-reliable and could be built up for cheap then this is your ride.

How's the turbo in it? Does it smoke at idle?

I think it's a IHI RB5, absolutely no smoke at idle or at any other engine speed.

The OEM tires are 195/60/15's it has this size on the back with about 50-60% tread. The ones currently on the front are 185/70/14's with 30% tread.

The turbo spools up nicely and achieves full boost at about 4000rpm with 1-3 psi available at around 3K.

Does everything work on the car? How are the brakes, steering and suspension. Will it pass a mechanical inspection?

It would pass a mech inspection with a rear drivers shock.

All glass is good, lights horn and signals work.

Other than it being a little loud it's not in bad shape.

no, where do you see that?

There is a small dent there but nothing bigger than a pack of smokes.

Still up for sale, Gotta move this thing for the Honda!

400$ you can drive it home.

Doesn't leak/burn oil
A rear shock would make it pass inspection
Has potential for a build-up

I also have the missing trim piece on the passenger door.
Boost her to 14 Psi and run the quarter in 13 sec!!;)
