View Full Version : Differences between 02 and 03 WRX?

Just curious if anybody had a list of differences between the 02 and 03 Subaru WRX. I know that normally car manufacturers make model changes after the first release with minor tweaks.

The reason I ask is because I have found a number of 02 WRXs for sale, but very few 03 models. I'm sure this can be accounted to the age of the car, but I wanted to find out if it is worth holding out for an 03.

I suppose while I'm at it, I might as well ask for changes on the 04 model, besides the obvious visual changes on the headlights and tailights. Not really thinking of buying a brand new car, but I suppose it's worth considering.

As for differences between '02-03, I think it's just the braking system and lighted ignition surround. :dunno: :D You can find out more on NASIOC (http://www.nasioc.com)

03 has updated gears and syncros in the tranny which are suppose to be stronger.

The sedan looks pretty nice... how much is the seller asking?

I was originally looking for a white one, but I suppose I can be flexible on it.
