Does anyone know where I can pick crabs and have the local resturant cook them for me in Vancouver?

I want to take my kids and pick some crabs.

Not sure about Vancouver area proper, Van-Island and the Sunshine Coast would likely have more areas. Your best bet is to talk to the locals (go to the docks)

Steveston Island in Vancouver area (south of richmond) would be a place to inquire. It is a small little area heavily into fishing.

BTW, Crabs are typically caught with traps, Clams are dug up off the beach at low tide.

Yeah.. you can't pick eatable crabs... If you want them you have to catch them with traps in the water. its fun though, you should try it! They equipment is cheap and all you need is a small dingy.
