she's my new baby, and a huge upgrade from the hyundai accent... man that thing was slow.

I think I got a really good deal on the car, it has hail damage, but that is just a visual blemish that can be fixed, but with the car i got a 3 inch ss catback (With removable silencer), jim wolfe airfilter, 16 inch rims, 215/55 tires. previous two owners have used mobil 1 synthetic in the car so the engine is in great condition

the blue center caps in the rims are gone.. took those off right away.. yuck.

heres a pic of it underneath getting a tirebalance.. needed that right after i bought it it was shaking like crazy

you can also see the exhaust. anyone know what brand it is? i didnt see any markings..

No markings? That sucks, mmmm, most of the exhausts ive seen come with a metal plate on top of the exhaust to shwo off their product, you sure there isn't one on that one? if not maybe look for a sticker or marking on the back of the muffler before the pipes run into it. Other then that, looks nice, whatcha got planned for it?

lol, the wheel is not crooked because it came like that, it just doesnt have the lugs on so it rests on the bolts like that, i was getting a tire balance and took the pic while they were workin on it.

anyone here ever use a rug cleaner to clean their and carpet? im doin that right now, and it seems like someone spilled a can or two of coke in the carpet/seats cause a lot of reddish/brown sugary stuff is comin up lol, at least the stains are going away..

I guess thats the reason.. because the car doesnt have any other damage, besides dings on most of the body panels.. espec roof/trunk/hood. IMO the damage isnt that bad, the dings didnt destroy the paint so i should be able to do some paintless dent repair on it and take em out, or get a new hood/trunk..

I have a PRO 1 its a pretty good exhaust its not generic. They are not that proliferate thats all. It sounds better than my Sheepdog I had on.

ebay is ok for this.. the person did not say anything about the problems with the car in the description of course, and i didn't really ask either, but i had a blinking air bag light when i got it (stuck in diagnostic mode, fixed it easily), and cruise control doesnt work and cd player skips when goin 80mph on the freeway and its slightly bumpy (i was the shipping service for the car lol, and i found the service excellent :D)
also the trunk is kindof a mess, no jack, no spare tire holddown screw and no jacking tools.

Only thing I have found about your muffler or one from "Pro 1 High Performance" is that its a straight through design, can't find any websites or more information, Ill keep looking though

If your cruise control isnt working try putting your foot on the clutch pedal and pulling it up a little bit then trying to engage the cruise control. It's the only way I could get mine to work back when I had cruise control.

hey, yea i did, actually had a friend come with me so we split off.. left wisconsin about 6 30 pm and then slept first night near wisconsin border, because we got almost no sleep the night b4 (Because of plane flight). Next day we pulled all day thru north dakota, all night through montana and then idaho and washington the 3rd day

ill try the clutch thing with cruise control..

yeah, i would think buying a car off ebay would be scary too, but there are not many 240's out there, especially not in the northwest where i live, so i didn't have much choice as to walk around and check them out, id say its part luck that mine was decent like that, but the seller shoulda described the car more thorougly and tell of the problems with it, might have knocked a bit more off the price hehe

The car is fast by no means a corvette but I smoke cavaliers with the 3.1's away if you put NOS on her she will definately blow your mind.

dings, jsut get one of the ding puller kits, all it does is heat up some glue i think then u stick the cup to it and pull up and it pulls the dings out then u just wash the glue off, I think, somethign liekt hat, theres also kits for bigger dings and u drill a hole then u stick somethign in and pull it out but then u have to fill the hole and stuff and yah, I think Canadian tire has a kit, call em up and see
