Honda civic factory system

Hey all,

I just purchased my first car...04 Civic Coupe Si-G.

While I was impressed with the car, the factory audio system has not....I'm looking to add some bass to it...so in a sense, I know the new audio decks have built in subwoofers in it...should I go for this or just buy a new amp/subwoofer and get it installed in it?

Trying to weigh the advantages/disadvantages of both.

amp subs... decks with little subs in them are asking for trouble
thats what i would do.. but if you wnat a good sound quality deck go with alpine
