my initial setup was going to be a mitsu TD04 which is very undersized for my engine. i have a bit of money in my hands..... so i was wondering if i should jump ship and get a T3/T4?

The term "T3/T4" is very general. There are dozens of turbos that are "T3/T4" combos..... suitability really depends on your hybrid specs.

for your motor, I would blow a 60 trim T3/T4

The 50 trim is better than the 57 trim actually. Go with the T3/T04E 50 trim.

It should flow around over 700cfm+ and support over 400hp easy.

You can get the biggest turbo going out there but without the supporting mods (fuel, exhaust, intercooling, tuning, etc.) it's not gonna help much... ;)

Indeed. A front mounted intercooler conversion would be a healthier start in my opinion. :-)
