View Full Version : Getting a 93+ Supra

So after hard thinking, I have decided to let the RS go

I am moving onto a more faster car which will hopefully be a 93+ Supra. Is there anyway I can get a hold of one of these cars? Can a dealer ship get one imported from the US? :dunno: I don't want to fork out for a turbo version, 230hp is enough. I will eventually do a swap and save myself some extra cash... :D

get the turbo version. saving cash by doing a swap later: good luck. just pay more now and get the better verison that comes with better everything

BTW 230 Hp is not enough :D

230hp may be enough for a little Civic, but for a 3200lb Supra it definately won't be enough.

2JZ-GTE engines and trannies don't come cheap. Better off buying a Turbo than the NA.

Getting an NA one imported and jumping through all the hoops will probably cost you as much as getting a nice twin turbo fairlady Z or Stealth locally, maybe even an FD (cars that can run with a tt supra) . You'll then have to spend an assload of money to bring it up to spec, more than buying a twin turbo from the get go. And even then you still can't say you have a real twin turbo supra.

Damn :D, I will go down to the dealership tomorrow and inquire about a single turbo one. Hopefully they will let me finance it :D haha... :whipped:

I obviously don't want to get raped by a maxima :D

You won't find a single turbo MKIV Supra unless the owner has converted it from the stock dual. Good luck finding one in Canada. They are RARE. Your best bet is to start hunting for one in the US.

there's a couple in canadatrader.ca...
most of them in bc, and found one thats local. and i remember the local one being posted in a thread not to long ago, but not too pretty looking imo.
i don't know what your price limit is, but MKIV don't come cheap.
best bet is looking in bc (especially around van)

I looked into them a while ago. If you're like me, You'll find like 3 in Canada, all trading for within spitting distance of their original sticker..

I know, they can usually import one from the US though. I am about to find out today...

I didn't know that they never came in single turbo form, I saw a few on ebay with single but yea. I will find out.

better buy a puke-bag too.

Those things hold their price, what were they brand new?
