Out of Province Inspections

If I am in Edmonton, and I buy a car from BC, does it need to be inspected? If so, how much do they cost, and what exactly is tested?

It does need an inspection, call a registries office and ask for some shops that are certified to do it. I had my done at fountain tire but they cant do them anymore. It costs somewhere between $70-100.
