The guy who is organizing the track day is Justin Fong (MrX's friend). The event runs from 9am until 4pm on the full Race City Roadcourse and everyone is welcome.

Entry fee is $200. If you want to go, give Justin a call at 703-5778 and let him know Kenny with the SLK gave you his number to call about the track day.

If you still want to attend, I've been told Justin needs the money ASAP, so hurry up and give him a call! It'll be fun!

I think there's about 5 or 6 spots left for that day. I wish I could make it there, but it's the GF's convocation :(

Sounds like it's turning out to be a really good day tho.

There are still room if anyone is interest to go. Justin needs some deposit because race city required him to pay down payment. It'll be save as we will be mostly driving on the track and compete with yourself and not really racing with other cars (but of course you can drive together with your friends or other similar cars at the same time, but you are not allow to pass people in the corner) For newbies, there will be instructors attend to help out on some technique for the track.

For people that are still not convience to go on the track and only wants to race on the street......I just got a ticket not too long ago and it cost me over a hundred bucks. Driving on the track is a lot saver and more fun as you can push your car to the limit without getting tickets. 8)

If you're a newbie attending, don't push your car to the limit your first time out =). There's 2 limits you have to learn, your car's limits, and your own limits when you exceed the car's limits. The road course at Race City isn't very forgiving when you make mistakes in certain places... hehe.

This sounds fun - what's required (like helmets, etc?).

I've got to see if I can jam outta work that day. I keep hearing from everyone that the boss is an asshole.

Wait, I'm the boss...

if anyone can't find helmet please give justin a call, he might able to help you

Things to bring to track:
(This isn't a complete list just a general check off list)

o Water (Lots of that stuff)

o Snell 95 Helment at least (I mean you could bring an old helment but hopefully you'd think your head is worth more)

oTires: Tread life is pretty important. You won't believe what people will drive.. Like an Lotus Esprite that came out with bald tires:banghead: - Yes he crashed into the wall.

o Tire guage and Air tank / Compression

o Running shoes

o Shoe polish is always handy to see if your "rolling over". (Driving on the side wall instead of the contact patch)

o Sun glass / sun screen / Hat

o All fluids are at a resonable level.

o dispose of all flying objects - they tend to hurt or poke an eye. If it's not secured by bolts take it out.

o And relax. Your not gonna win a prize at the end so if someone wants to go ahead of you - let them.
