My father said he would give me his 2002 Honda civic EX 4 door. I can either take that or he said he would buy me a resonably priced car. I asked him what a resonable price is and all he said was "You tell me". Anyways, im looking to get a nice clean car, im planning on adding some things to it, rims, getting it lowered, a kit, rear spoiler/wing. I just have no idea what to get. I was tihnking either a civic or accord coupe. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Ahhh.....another civic with a body kit....:dunno:

Sorry....lol...but anyways....Accords look much cleaner and are a bit more car than a civic. Larger, more options, a bit quicker, and if they are done up properly they can look really clean. Civics are too common for me to recommend. It seems so many people do the exact same thing to the exact same car. If you want something a bit different, try for a G2 legend coupe (no bias here seriously). If not, I would suggest the accord. ;)

i know, i know. I been talking with my friends. I know all to well that civics are so very common and everyone does everything to them. I went to hot import nights here in boston and i saw tons of them. I definatly want to be a little original. Thanks for the comment and suggestion.

I dont really like the boxy look of the legend, I want a more rounded car.

i'd say sell the civic, take that money as your "reasonable price" go buy something with some of the money and use the rest for mods, get something you like and please dear god don't sticker tune it.

Dont sell the civic because you'll never get a decent amount to buy something brand new. Take the offer your dad gave you.

Also if you have like some amount of money saved up, u can spare on the car. I would say after selling the civic, maybe try getting 95+ prelude or something. I dont know it all depends on how much you will get after selling your civic and all.

stick with the civic, since gas prices so high now a days. if you don't car much about gas, get the accord v6. I like this kind of accord http://tinyurl.com/3jjad

I would just get a brand new car or a mildly used one with warranty.

I think a reasonable price would be $20K but you have to keep in mind, for this price, you can't exactly get the nicest car out there. I would be more concerned with something reliable, good on gas, and have some fun with it.

I suggest Mazda 3, Civic Coupe or RSX Coupe:thumbsup:

20k is probably the most i can get outa my dad. I love integras and RSXs, not sure if there too small tho. I want a nice sporty looking car. Whatever car i do get i will be of course adding parts to it. Thanks for all the replies. Some of the cars you all mentioned i wouldnt ever get tho. I despise VWs. Although at hot import nights there was a CRAZY looking VWB.

u want a respectable car? go with a stang GT. old people love em, girls get wet with the sound of that 281 grumbling :P cheap performance too :)

faster than any civic/jap car you'll find for the price...

hell, checkout that 95 GT with the built 302, that thing would blow a new cobra off the line :P

whats wrong with going to a junk yard and picking up a 68-72 comaro and putting 2 or 3 grand into it? you'd destroy most cars on the road but then again you wouldn't be driving it for 6 months. But I think it's worth the wait and patience, I mean how many girls would want to ride in a car that can break the ass end loose at 60 MPH and shake their panties while you're sitting at a stop light and, laugh at anything under a 911 or NSX.
Just my opinion...:-)
Thats what I did and I'm so happy I did.
I have a muscle car that not to many peeps have any longer..I understand that easy is better know days but then again, I can break the ass end loose @ 60 mph and when I pull into into a local pub everyone looks at my car and, not at the Acura or new corvette.
Greenie :english:

P.S. about the previous, check history Ford screwed up the 302 when they bought the rites from GM.
The Chevy 302 could really be built big time.
Not saying the stang isn't a good car it just doesn't have a GM engine......J/k I agree with him go American muscle the ladies love power :poosie: just ask a Harley man
the Asians make reliable cars.
Ask yourself this do you want reliability or power because unless you have a lot of money forget about the power and and go with reliable.

See Mustangs are cool and all. My friend has a 2001 stang, i love it...but there just way to common, just like the honda civics, there all over the place. Im still stuck on the acura integras...only thing is, they dont have too much torqe. After seeing a couple integras with nice kits like the bomex kit. I fell in love, I dont know yet tho...we'll see.

That is such a beautiful Integra, 2001 LS with Bomex Kit.
