Hey guys, im wondering, has anyone seen or heard of a vl commodore? if so, are their any in calgary? they have 3.0 Nissan engines, and i was reccomended to use the fuel pump from it, to replace my 280z's pump. Just wanted to know if i should even bother looking around, thanks.

Comodore's are Holdens from Austrailia (GM) The different generations have 2 letter designations, I believe the new ones are VX. Anyhoo I doubt GM puts nissan motors into them, the HSV's (Holden Specialty Vehicles) use tuned Calaway(sp?) Vette engines, pushing 450hp in nice Sedans.

hi there,

Im from Australia and i drive a VL commodore. GM Holden made the VL 's from 1986 to 1988 they used the Nissan 3.0 6 cylinder engine in all of the VL's. Although they were all badged as Holden. They are the only holdens made with the Nissan engine. there were 148,000 VL's made, they are a very popular car for Young drivers here in Australia. The Nissan Skyline 1986 to 1988 has the same engine, but badged as a Nissan, just different body shape.

If you wanted a photo of a Vl or some help finding a fuel pump just e-mail me.
