The M103 engine is a decent engine, bottom end is bullet-proof, check if the headgasket and valve seals have been re-done the car is quite fun to drive and can look sweet with minimal mods...check out Hakkola and my car for an idea of what the basic style could look like

T5_X do you have any idea how rare it is to find a manual 190?

for that price its an ok deal,, but work the price a bit more on the guy, and get it inspected. if all works out , i would buy it.

If you get the car, I'd put an EVOI or EVOII kit, those things are so damn nice.

I know a guy w/ red 91 190E. 5 speed. he needs a wagon so the sedan will be available once he has the wagon.

Yup, it won't be cheap though. But it's really rare in Calgary to see a 190 with an EVO kit.

But if I was you, I'd get the '91 190E that Alpine Autowerks is talking about, it's 3 years newer and it's 5-speed manual. Plus it should cost around the same.

Alpine Autowerks, got more info ont he 190? And a price?

Yeah, if Alpine is recommending a car, it's going to be a good car....he knows his MB's!

A red 5 spd would be hot...check outhttp://www.erebunicorp.com/CLEARANCE/mbw201.htm for the evo style kit (style 30)....the 190e is the W201 chassis code in case you didn't know and are looking for other parts...

2850 USD for a fibreglass kit, not the best quality or strength but way cheaper than the factory stuff!...it's a 6 piece bodykit and will cost a bit to paint ands install and fit properly, but it'll be nice...

I've heard something about Geatrag Manual Conversions on Automatic 190E's done before...
anyone know anything?

Rieger also makes an EVOII Style bodykit they cleverly called the EVOIII.

Shit, I forgot about Rieger....it is a more expensive kit than erebuni though. There WAS an EVO III, so it's not sucha clever name :D

Oh...Well, fuck me running, i didn't know about an Evo3, so i thought Rieger was just trying to be sneaky...that's all.
The full kit is really pricey, all fiberglass, etc.

Also, i saw somewhere something about a 95 W124 E320 engine swap into an 80's (cant remember year exactly, 89 sounds right) W201...
Guestimates on cost, zorro?

ZorroAMG

Well the costs of an M104 engine swap could range depending on the condition of the engine...close to 8K all said and done most likely
