Amazing player... that sucks for the Dolphins... week before training camp. He suffers from some disorder that gives him extreme public anxiety. Rumors of a second NFL substance abuse policy violation may also have led to this.

Good on him! Just like Barry Sanders, leaving at his peak when he wanted to. I'm glad to see a player who really isn't playing for the money. He probably just didn't like football enough to keep going so quit now instead of hacking it out for a pay cheque.

Ricky is not leaving at his peak. He may be just entering it if he decides not to retire. He's only played 5 years in the league and had 1 really good season and 1 decent one. Barry on the other hand, was leaving as probably the best at his position at the time after playing 10 seasons.

^ I was sad when Barry retired, if he didn't he had a very good chance of becoming GOAT of running backs.
