would be nice if they lasted somewhat decent too, both my Tunerworks and Concept1 ones are shot, the silver paint is almost gone

you should have them made out of full carbon fiber...i shop here in toronto has their shop plates made out of it..looks soooo clean ...only cost me retail 20 bucks...then all they did was put the companies sticker on it

For under 20 bucks? I'm in for sure if that's the case

That would be cool - why not start a thread with a group buy or something - i'm sure a lot of people would be willing to do it! We could give the cash to one of the mods, and Redlyne_mr2 could ship it to one of us and have one of us apply beyond stickers to the licence plates.

Nothing worth sharing yet, I've only seen one frame that we can get made easily which costs about $10usd each to make but its just a chrome frame w/ our logo on it.

I want to get some nicer ones made where the logo is nicely engraved/painted but haven't found a good and cheap one.

I'd like a plate frame too. I might even put a beyond.ca sticker on my back windshield. I am not doing it to my cavalier though :barf:

Well I just asked a toronto Board I'm on, where they get theirs, and how much. Have you tried asking dealerships where they get theirs? I think almost every dealership has their own licence plate frame. Next time I'm at the dealer I'll try to find out who makes them.

how much is alot? didnt redline say he could get them for around 20 bucks?

with shipping and the price of the frame and a beyond.ca sticker i dont think people would mind paying like $30

well i wouldnt, i dont know about other people :dunno:

ecstasy_civic

30 bucks is alot for a license plate frame which has the chance to be stolen{ everybodies shit is getting stolen, it could happen}:dunno: anyways i wouldnt pay 30 but i would definatley be interested in one. my paints chipping of my CMS one.

I dont think anyone would steal a license plate frame. I've never heard of such a thing. Thieves only take things of value, like stereos and whole cars. If someone came into cash-convertors with a license plate frame they'd be laughed out. Plus how many people actually notice license plate frames unless they are those gross neon ones or the bling-bling gangster wannabe chain-link ones?

szw
12-17-2002, 03:53 AM
dude people will steal anything just for the heck of it, where have you been living? haha

i think ppl might steal cf plate holders.

are there some sort of antitheft screws that we can buy?

mrmattyk
12-17-2002, 01:55 PM
Wow this is a true sign of the times. I can't even put a license plate cover on my car without constant fear of theft...

I had a license plate, along with a frame stolen before.
Just used screws with a weird pattern...like the star shape, or put bolts or something in so they'll need a socket wrench. Not many people carry those around with them.

ecstasy_civic
12-18-2002, 02:39 AM
you can buy these screws at crappy tire and there guranteed not to be stolen. the have like a have flathead half shaved bolt thingy. and its got a tool that is the only way to get it on or off.
$7 bucks:thumbsup:

u know, since cf is so hardcore and expensive and stealable...why not just get some plastic holder with beyond.ca on it?

itll be cheaper and we wont have to worry about it getting stolen.

cf plate holders are pretty ricey anyway
