All Persons who opened a PayPal account between October 1, 1999 and January 31, 2004 are eligible for this.

Anyone can qualify for part of the settlement. You have to fill out a form saying you'll never sue them for the same thing, and you'll split a $1M piece of the pie with everyone else that fills out that form.

Meaning you'll get $0.50 haha.

Is that in addition to the $50 guaranteed for individuals who have experienced errors in their accounts by Paypal?

Yes. There's 2 parts to the settlement. Unless I read something wrong.

No, Paypal has in cases seized your account and held the funds for over 6 months. If you decide to empty out your account, they'd flag it and investigate, holding your money for a long time without interest. If you go to :

You'll see some of the complaints. Some guys made their living in their home business, and lost their homes from Paypal's actions because they held like $200,000 of their money when they decided to transfer a sizable portion of it out.

If that happened to you, you get $50 :D. Of course that example is an extreme case hehe. But like any other class action lawsuit, the lawyers are the real winners.

Here is another thread with more information i started 2 days ago at another forum with more info. Rage2 is correct, if you did any transactions with paypal within the said date then you qualify for a peice of the 4.3mill. If you had problems with paypal, you need to fill out a long claims report and get some $$$
