You have too much money to spend on a car.
IF you don't own a home, go get one, if you do, go get another.

If I had 48 grand I would buy a 2001 Prelude and build it up for insane boost.

Spend most of it, then save the rest. $48,000 is a shit load. Might aswell save up for a realistic dream car or something.

If you have a secured job and make decent coin, I would go for the STi. If you are just barely getting by and somehow landed on a $48K fortune, I would invest it. :thumbsup:

E36 M3 sedan. Lots of fun and practical too! Leaves you lots leftover from your $48,000 to spend or invest.
$48K .. so , that is around $43K plus taxes, fee, pro-pack etc ..
um .. not much to pick .. RX-8 ? I think they are $41K plus tax for fully loaded one.
Or an A4 1.8 loaded, BMW 325i with 1 or 2 extra options .. Acura TL ..
If u can spend a bit more, then G35 coupe, a loaded BMW 325i ... or a bisic 325 Ci coupe ..
by the way, are we talking New cars ? or used ? Sedan ?
If for used sports car, get a 99-00 Boxster or 99-00 BMW M Roadster.
You can also get a 91-92 Porsche 911 964 as well for mid$40K
or a used STi, one from dealer for $43K plus tax.
A low KM E36 M3, there is actually a 1994 Euro M3 ( #40 of 45 ) for sale in Edmonton, with only 50K, believe or not, for only $40K plus taxes ! that car is as brand new, I know the owner, and know how he has kept the car ! 1 owner car ! :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

if i have $48,000 will get used car and mod. it.
just for example:
1. normal used car $5,000 (FR) 93 240sx nissan 1+2=10,000
2. install great suspension $5,000 (Tein)
3. install new engine $5,000 (SR20DET) 3+4=7,000
4. big intercooler $ 2,000
5.sound system $2,000 5+6=3,000
6.exhust $1,000
7.4 new wheels & tire $1,500 16inch 7,8,9=$3,100
8.4wheels knock $100
9. repaint any clolour (optional) $1,500
10. 4 new comfortable sits. (as u like option)$1,500
total=$24,600
11. used car insurance is cheaper - depend ur record (for me)
$ 2,400per year
12. high quality gas $2400per year
u can free to drive more than around 3 years for
using the left $23,400 (not included speeding ticket)
if anyone steal ur car , u still have $23,400 to buy another one.
but usually new car will have more chance to get steal from thief.

if ur goin for luxury, i'd say get BMW 540i or MB E320 4matic, thats a couple years old......if ur goin for performance get an S14 and tune the sht outta it, turbo engine swap, ECU, bolt ons, whatever u can do......or u could hold on for a bit , wait for an R32 GTR, and get that.
if ur lookin for brand new luxury , BMW 3-series/MB C-class......
and if ur goin for brand new performance, S2000 is wicked...RX8/RSX-S/G35coupe are also pretty decent.
good luck with car search :thumbsup:

haha no doubt. I lived at home and drove a $70k benz, you only live once. I have a house now, and a lot less money for toys. I wish I still lived at home.
