I have recently moved to Grande Prairie and am searching the web for auto enthusiast sites in my area.

So where is this forum based out of? Edmonton? Calgary? Where? Is there a very bit (I shutter when I use this word) "scene" around here? I'm from Ottawa.

Oh and drive a 1989 Mazda 323 GTX.

Modified? A tad bit.

J-spec 1.8 litre bored to 1.93 litre
J-spec tranny
Wiesco 8.6:1 pistons
Carillo rods
far too much headwork
stand-alone ECU
Koni Yellows
cryo-treated brakes all around
Ghetto weight reduction

Wow, How much and where did you get the forged internals from? Reichracing is charging me $1750 for forged pistons, rods, wrist pins, and rings.. Still waiting for that winning lottery ticket..

what stand alone did you go with? Do you have your old, hopfully chipped ECU for sale? I'm still stuck at 9 psi:thumbsdow need more fuel! What injectors are you using?

Got my pistons/rings/wrist pins/rods from Monkeywrenchracing.com It was the best priced stuff I could find. For the 1.8 Miata motor. For all that it came to just under $2G.

Reichracing and I don't get along very well. They are the worst business I have ever dealt with, and will not recommend them to anyone. As for the injectors I'm running DSM 550cc RRs and they keep everything, except idle, very managable.

The stand alone is a bastard child of my and two friend's 4th year engineering project a little while ago. I by no means tuned it, thats not my bag....yet. And no, my originial ECU isn't chipped, and wouldn't work on a 1.6 litre engine anyways.
