I am not sure why it is there or what level it is on. I guess they are holding it inside incase it rains. This is guaranteed to be better than CIN.

Yeah the round up is generally where the car shows are (ie: WofW) so you'd think they'd pick there :dunno:

I think that the Tules convention centre is very big as well. The convention centre is also brand new it is pretty high end i guess.

july 23rd is a Wednesday ...thats fucked up! Nationwide doesnt mean its any better ...i'd still prefer an american based show like Hot Import Nights, Import Revolution or Import Showoff ...but hey i can't complain ...i'm lookin forward to it already!!!

Yah fo sho, I second Nicks opinion, 20 bucks for seeing calgary cars that are already on the streets is not worth it at all. We could host our own event and get the same turn out, except without spending money.

I can't wait to get this show on the road! Sport compact nights might be looking better now, since its 15, but still 15 is still a little high to see everyday cars. Like 80% calgary cars on roads, 10% better than your average car on the road, and the other 10% is cars far out that we haven't seen before. Im hoping im not right, and that the cars we be pretty sweet.

Intgra_Boi I'm glad to see we're starting to earn your interest... We fully understand that no one wants to go to a show and look at stuff they can see in a parking lot meet. We are bringing several cars from out of town and a few of the sponsors wil be bringing their demo cars, such as the Alpine RSX, Clarion's unbeatable Talon, etc.... space is starting to run out already for the Calgary stop so if you guys want to compete in the Meguiar's Show 'N' Shine I recommend doing so as soon as possible! People complain there are not enough good shows...putting on good shows costs money, this isn't charity...

renting out nice places costs coin, so IMO break down, fork out the 10 and a half and go support your fellow friends with nice rides.

ahaha i was going go to that show...but my friend in BC told me not too because it was going to be gay, and what do you know it was. glad i didnt go

and $15 or $20 for this show aint much at all! compared to HIN, my friend told me it was $35 USD to get into HIN :nut: :thumbsdow soo we should be happy that the price for tickets is only $15 :werd:

great to see larger, proper shows stroll through cowtown this year. like benny said, good to support these shows, so drop the 15$ for SCN and check out the entertainment, prizes, rides, etc. telus convention centre should be an interesting venue.

I heard from a friend that the Sport Compact Nights show in Montreal was AWESOME. It was sponsored by national corporations not only local tuner shops. Over 10 000 people showed up. I can't wait until July 26.

I just heard the after party for Sport Compact Nights will be at the Palace and hosted by Vibe 98.5. They are reserving parking for the entire block for pimped out cars only. It should be sweet seeing all the fixed up cars in front of the Palace at night.

This show looks like its gonna be pretty sweet, but I really want to know How many cars will be there???? Because last show, Urban dream... I spent $10 to get in, or whatever it was.. and $3 for parking.. and then there were just the same damn cars I see all the time. and there were like 30-40 of them at most I am guessing.

Props to the fellas who put on Urban Dream for a job well done, but I like to think that Sport Compact Nights is a whole different ballgame in what we're bringing to the Telus Convention Centre in terms of cars, energy and overall vibe :clap: There will be a major corporate presence, giveaways courtesy of the sponsors and of course, some demo cars you haven't seen just yet! I don't want to give an exact number of cars because 1) We haven't received all competitor registrations just yet! and 2) I like to think that the cars are a major part of the CAR show, but we've geared the tour to encompass the entire sport compact lifestyle...

WOOH mad sweet show! props to patatscp and other organizers for one hell of a great show! best part....seeing Betty Ahn, MAAN is she ever smoking!! LOL. welpz there were other best parts of the show, such as FREE STUFF LOL :D, seeing wicked ass cars etc. alpine RSX, other rsx's and other PHAT ASS RIDES! speedtech had sweet rides, v-side s2000, civic with buddy club front end w/ turbo, and other booths had amazing ass rides. also the djing/stage shows were wicked! props to you all.

edit: thought beyond was going to have a booth there?
