Hi.

Anybody reccomend a shop or a mechanic who would be up to installing a Jackson Racing supercharger on my Del Sol?

Its an SI model SOHC.

I'm sure any one of the sponsers could do it.

We would suggest:

Alvin Automotive 243-3941

The owner was the shop foreman @ Honda West

Installation can be done in a day if you kinda know what you're doing in your garage...so a skilled tech I would imagine could bolt that kit up (asuming you're buying the kit new and complete) in less time.

It is supposed to be a 8 hour job for SOHC's. A shop should be able to do it in that time fairly easily.

Do you already have the car and JRSC?

My opinion isn't going to be real popular, but here goes. I'd just save my $ and buy and SiR and then maybe a JRSC. Not flaming, just my $0.02.

Don't have the JRSC yet. Still in the process of getting it ordered.

Would like the reliability of a b16 swap, but figure this is a cheaper way to add a good dose of power.

JRSC should be more reliable and less tempermental than a turbo kit, considering my car is a daily driver who isn't into racing, autocross.

Basically just a guy who wants a little power before hitting 5500 rpm, not much but a little more.

It's gonna cost around 800.
The JRSC won't do much on the SOHC IMO... better to do a swap instead

I agree. Probably not too much more either.
