Garage door problem

Recently my garage door has not been closing properly. It opens fine, but when I go to close it, the door goes down a bit, and then stops and goes back up almost as though the sensor thing was tripped. I've tried lubeing the chain and moving parts but that doesn't help. Anyone else experience problems like this or know what the problem is?

yeah, the sensors need to be aligned a bit better.

I checked that, and there as aligned as can be.

Sensitivity is too high in the downward direction. Reduce sensitivity and it should solve the problem.

The counter spring isn't linear, so at some point more force is required to move the door and that's when the opener is fooled in thinking it hit an obstruction.
