i saw one in the parking lot at work today, it was a newer or newest mustang, it was yellow and had a chrome "Mach 1" badge on the back with a black "unfinished" spoiler, with a matching lip in the front and rear of the car. It also had some black "mach 1" decals running along the bottom of the doors on either side and a solid black line that ran down the hood of the car with small black trim boardering that.

Up until that point im like "yay, another stang with ghey factory ricer trim" but then i saw the hood scoop and that really threw me off, it was a black plastic "shaker" style scoop. When i say shaker, i mean the scoop is attached to the intake manifold of the engine and theres an opening left in the hood for it to come out.

Anyone have any info on this model of car?

I just recieved my ultimate mustang shootout video where they compared the 04 GT, Mach 1 and Cobra since it's the last year of this car before the new one comes out and the Mach 1 ran mid 13s in the 1/4. Also should mention it's one of the best handling mustangs around.

thats the car. sounds like they put alot of emphasis into the suspension. how does it stack up to the GT and the cobra? somewhere inbetween? do you have specs on the other 2?

Here's a killer article (basically the video I just bought) in text form.

But yah in the hierarchy of late model stangs, they are stacked as follows:

1) Cobra
2) Mach 1 2003-04
3) Bullitt 2001-02
4) GT

The GT gets the anemic 2V heads, while the Mach1 gets the much better flowing 4V's, some suspension, and trim stuff. Big upgrade from the GT's, they are significantly faster from the factory. They're essentially a 99/01 cobra with a live axle, the shaker, and some cosmetic stuff.

sea level 12s pretty easily. The shitty thing is they are basically marauder engines, which mean they are not as strong as the old Cobra motors. Keep them NA and they haul ass. Lots of guys have them at 33X wheel hp.
