blown subwoofer?

i jus got my kappa perfect sub and i was wiring it to my amp, but stupid me left the power running. so when i was wiring the speaker wire from the sub to the amp i think the negative and the positive touched and some smoke came out of the amp. so i tried it again and the sub made one loud boom but then it just stopped working. so i wanna know if i blew the sub or it will still work on a diff amp?

Well if the smoke came from the amp perhaps you blew the amp. Sounds to me like the amp.

I think your sub should be fine. You amp may be fubar'd but check the fuses etc. before you toss it.
