On the outside, an M3 has different mirrors, exhaust, skirts, bumpers, side rub strips, badges, and wheels.

The first pic looks like a C2 with GT-3 kit. :confused:

And .. is that a Lotus S3 ?

VW currently offers the 1.8L 4-cylinder 20V Turbo motor in the Passat, The New Beetle Convertible, Jetta and GTI.

In the new MK5 (2006 model year) -- Volkswagen is revamping the standard 1.8T motor -- to a new 16v 2.0L Turbo.

Turbo's are nothing really new for VW -- especially if you consider how long they have been offering the TDI (turbo diesel).
