In the market for a new car and came across some dealers clearing out 2003 acura with low mileage 100-200km. So far, these were the two models i'm looking at and wanted to get opinions on the pricing.

2003 Acura TL Type S (full warranty)
$34750+admin fee+tax
$msrp:42750

2003 Acura RSX Premium (model just below the TypeS)
$24500+admin+tax
msrp:$29200

I think the price are pretty good but could get a bit more off.

I guess it will depend on what kind of car you are looking at. The old TL Type S is a beautiful car and has all the fixings in it. I think the Type S also has 260 hp so there is plenty of power to have some fun with. All that for about $35K seems like a great deal for me.

WOW ! good price ! Acura normally don't offer much discount !

$34K for a 03 TL-S is a bargain ! many people ask the same money for their used one !

good prices.
you can't go wrong with cars like that going for those prices.

there could be better deals out there, but buying an acura is never a stupid decision.

As GRS Zero says, it really depends on what kind of car/features you're looking to get.

I purchased an 01' Acura 3.2 CL Type S (2 door version of the TL) three months ago after having to drag my bf with me on numerous test drives to compare the CL-S vs. RSX-S.

Personally speaking, although the CL/TL is the heavier of the two cars, the 260hp is everything but slow... plus it provides a very plush ride

$35 XXX for an 03 TL is a VERY good deal for what you get!!

Good luck though...they are both VERY good cars imo :)

Thanks for all of the replies...I think I'll end up waiting for a deal on the TSX. The TL Type S is quite nice but a little rich for me to maintain whereas the RSX is not as pratical over the long run. But the TSX seems to fit quite well in between. Too bad I haven't seen similar deals on the TSX.

In late for my.02..

Despite the SRT being my fun car, I have a 2003 TL (not type S) for the normal rigors.

Great car. Not extremely expensive to maintain. Very good mileage. Comfortable, classy.

Lots of praise for it... If you can dicker them a little and insurance is not a show stopper, maybe something to think about. I'd bet the type S would be a riot...

As for buying the last model year, as a comparison, I had a 2000 GT mustang I bought in may of 2001 "new" with full warranty...

Sticker 32500ish, I paid 23500.

You're taking a year's wirth of depreciation automatically, so by all means don't pay for it. You'd be doing them a favor, as old model years (especially after the redesign) are not something they like lying around...

Good luck Mang!
