hey guys,
I'm just wondering where I can find some nice locations to take photos of my car (especially at night, so somewhere with pittoresque lighting would be perfect). northwest, preferrably hehe.

thanks

I'd like something close to the city, like no more than 20 minutes outside the city limits.

I've taken some good shots at the top of Nose Hill on 14th Street NW overlooking the city skyline. That's just north of the Winter Club and police district office.

Best time is just before sunrise because there's nobody around.

hmmm, that's really close to me. i'll check that out later.

i'll merge my thread with this one, since they're both adressing the same question.

Check out the parking lot at SAIT. Its got a great view of downtown. From 16th Ave NW, go south of 10th Street. There should be an entrance off to the right. Go up the hill and the parking lot is off to the left.

Crescent Hill has a magnificent view of downtown... Nose Hill park on 14th St. is good too but downtown looks really small... & my bf showed me a spot on Sarcee Tr. one time... it's around the Coach Hill area, but downtown looks even smaller... lol

Anybody know of a good public place with "WHITE" lighting ??

The metallic in my car looks awesome under white light.. lookd great at the tims/wendys on McKnight & 12street but... who wants timmys in their car photo ?

theres springbank that has a nice view if you can angle it right of the country side.. I took a photo of my car in the sunset from the hockey arena parking lot..

Thanks, I'll have to check out that area around springbank.

As far as "white" light, I think Stephen Avenue might be a good bet. Iirc, Ben took some pics of Jeff's car down there and they looked great.

Of course, this light isn't true white but it's closer to it than the orange high-pressure sodium lamps that are commonly found in streetlighting.

drive on upper banff coach road past the new macs and shit... keep on going until you can see the skii jump towers at cop, turn right there if your driving west.. drive all the way down the road and you will have an amazing view of the city in the distance as well as the river .. plus its way higher than any other area in the city... if worse comes to worse just cut the cock on the gate and go into cop.. we chill on the ski jumps everynow and then..

hahaha, i would ALWAYS let off the BOV right beside cars if i saw people doing that, pisses them off sooo bad

crescent hill used to make for a good drive, but now all my IDIOT neighbors had massive speed bumps put all through the community, driving through with a lowered car is suicide now :thumbsdow

The worst part is all the speed bumps (sait / airport style bumps) are not painted, so at night, you won't see it till it's too late... Boo
