not even as close as good
this mac is good because a 1.5ghz mac is a WAY more efficient processor
When you run MAC OS on this
It runs ADMIRABLY
meaning this thing never has locked up or had the hourglass more than 1 second
its a quickie
and if your bag isnt games, and its business this id definately the 'top for you!

depends what mix though
like warcraft 3 runs on it
you just have to check for mac versions
Its alla bout efficiency
UNIX is coded diffrently then windows
Its a low resource hog operating system which gives mac the ability to have a more efficient architechture

its just like with IBM computers, they all run windows but they are more expensive than a "custom built" one, and this one is a mac, therefore its even more expensive, macs are always more expensive than ibm's

Also, Macs processors, are like AMD, its not always about the shear speed of the chip, FSB and cycles, and pipelines have everything to do with the overall speed of a chip. Though ppl tend to like the high clock speeds of an Intel cpu
If I was looking for a laptop, this would easily be top 5 on my list, but I'm not, so here's a free bump.

I give props to mac when it comes to design programs, ex. photoshop and freehand. These are wicked platforms to WORK on. But when it comes to games, its harsh.
Mac for work = GOOD.
Mac for gaming = BAD.

Just for clarity sake, this isn't a "Titanium". Apple stopped manufacturing 15" Titaniums about a year ago. The current models are an aluminum enclosure rather than titanium. Unofficially, people are calling it the 15" Al.
I only mention this because no one is going to pay $3000 for a Titanium and you might get more lookers if they know they're looking at an Aluminum rather than a Titanium.

I really want one of these, but for that price im better to keep saving and pick up a Powerbook G5 when they come out.

Sometime early to mid next year. With the waiting list that it will have, you prolly won't see one till mid/late next year.
