I was looking through the car-ad's and found a 1997 BMW Z3..80XXXkm's...selling for 25000OBO.
It also said the price was just reduced.

Is this a rare price (something wrong with it) or are they usually around there? I don't know much about european cars, I just expect their price to be way high all the time! haha..

Did it say the size of the motor? 2.8L? Base model, that still sounds cheap:confused:

Its pretty cheap but the 2.8L was the wrong engine for the Z3 from the beginning!

Maybe it was the 1.9L sorry. I knew it was severely underpowered right from the factory.

Even the 2.8L, with 189HP, is not a whole lot for a vehicle that was supposed to be BMW's roadster. It hardly made low 15s. Not bad, but could have been better.

Probably why they introduced the 3L engine later.

No, that's good price I'm pretty sure, when the z3 was new it was only $40 000 when i saw it at the dealer last year, so for a 5 year old $40 000, $25 000 doesn't sound wrong at all.

Thats a pretty good price I think... .. but if it was reduced that means it was selling for a slightly price before and no one wants it.. so something must be wrong it...

what are u smokeing man??? the 2.8 in that car is plenty enough, believe me, i drive a e36 with the 2.8 its really powerful shave off 6-700 lbs and u have a BEAST that can easily hit mid 14s stock. its all about TOURQUE baby, 210 ft lbs is sweet after u have drivein a honda for the last 5 years

but yea if that z3 is for sale for that amount, its definetly the 1.9 which is a waste of $$$

Maybe they're just trying to get rid of it because they aren't making anymore Z3s. But I would assume that might make the price go up rather than down if they aren't making it anymore.

The Z4 is here, Z3 aren't worth as much

yeah, looking at that price, its probably a 1.9...most E36 6-cyl for later years are still 28-35g, so considering its a E36/7 i think its a little high asking price, but maybe its been well taken care of...
