Alright boys and girls, here's #2. After a few weeks of clip selection, and matching clips to music, we've finished up on the 2nd video. Hope everyone enjoys it!

Yes, after all is complete. The "internet" versions are pretty low quality compared to the DVD masters.

As I've stated in the first video thread, I only have DV masters of the videos from my camcorder and buh_buh's camcorder. Since I don't hang out with everyone on the forums, the selection of cars is quite limited. The reason why I need DV masters is because the videos are being mastered onto DVD once it's complete.

Every member is welcome to donate their clips on MiniDV tapes to me. I've only received 1 tape from XES of his dyno run, nobody else has sent me anything.

I've tried using existing clips that I've downloaded from other members, but the quality just doesn't work once it's burned onto DVD and viewed on a television set.

So if you want your car(s) in the next videos, PLEASE SEND ME SOME DV TAPES! I also accept high quality MPEG2 video clips (you can burn them to CD for me, or I can setup a FTP for you to upload to). Requirements for MPEG2 is 720x480, 30fps (NTSC), 4mbit or higher bitrate.

Hi8's are good, but I don't have a Hi8 camcorder, so you would have to Firewire it to your PC and compress it down to the MPEG2 specs I requested (MPEG2, 4mbit or higher, 720x480, 30fps NTSC)

I don't want to sound like an ass, but since I've put a lot of time/effort into the video, I would like to defend myself. First off, there's way more than 3 members rides in the videos, unless you were blind.

i don't understand why people are complaining. rage doesn't make us pay for the site or anything and he's nice enough to go out to many events (although i don't think anyone had to twist his arm to) and films the various cars. he then goes to put out a video, again nobody ASKED him to do it, just did it on his own and now he gets a bunch of grief from people about not seeing more cars in the video. i think everyone should stop complaining and be thankful that rage is nice enough to offer a free and might i add FAST loading forum for all of us to use. hell, i wouldn't be upset if he releases a video of just his car alone. he also did ask quite a while ago for videos from everyone. if you want your car in the clips, i'm sure if you sent him a video he'd be more than happy to put your clip into the video. so in the end, just be thankful.

2nd half is better than the first! But my 2 general complaints are:

1 - The song in the first 1/2 is terrible. IMO. Probably not everyones. 2nd 1/2 one is much better.

2 - Not enough IN-CAR of actual racing (like the solo2). The clip of teh AE86 is great, its a great camara angle. You can see all that is happening. I would love to get some footage of me rallying from that view!

Only 2 complaints? Ya, not freaking bad!
