WTB: Winter beater...

I"m going to be purchasing a 240sx very shortly here, but I"m also looking for a cheap cheap winter beater. Something that runs, and perfer to be under a grand, the cheaper the better. As long as it will last through the winter I'll be interested.

I have a 1984 Honda civic HB imported from california in 1988. Has a block heater. Battery warmer. Brand new battery, Michelin Artic Alpine rubber (front tires only) AWESOME winter beater. I have used this car for the last 4 winters. Never let me down so far... car is absolutely fun to drive in the winter. Oh.. and there's A/C in the car.. but im not sure if it works. Its been in my family since 1985. PM me if your interested or if you want to come and take a look

hey i have a 1988 mercury grand marquies for 650 it's got a ford 305 v8 air/tilt cruise power bench seat power windows runs fine a lil rust but it will do you for the winter easily

needs headgasket (gas and coolant mix)
2 small dents (easily could be pulled out)
lil rust at like 2 or 3 places (not a biggie)
awesome paint at other places
interior is almost mint !
strong engine
around 170 xxx kms i beleive

someone check out that 87 vw fox a few lines down. stine is selling it. for $150, a few repairs, probably under ~100, could get a fine winter beater.
